Letter from the secretary general
Distinguished Delegates, Honourable Advisors, and Esteemed Partners,
It is with immense pride that I welcome you all to the second edition of Hacettepe University Model United Nations Training Conference as the Secretary-General. On behalf of every single person that has made HUTRAIN’25 possible, I would like to thank you, our most distinguished participants, for your interest. Having been present in multiple stages in the process of HUTRAIN’25, I can proudly say, we have worked tirelessly to execute an enriching experience.
Over the years, I have come to realize that Model United Nations experiences were more than conferences I have been to, but spaces to explore, platforms to speak, memories to share, and a journey to undertake. I have grown, learned, gained so much through the years I have spent going to Model United Nations conferences and with regard to my personal experience I would like offer my fair share of advice. Do not be afraid to make mistakes and be bold. This is an experience specially prepared for you, make the most of it.
Rest assured, our excellent academic team has crafted an intellectually fulfilling experience for each participant to take something from. With a total of seven committees and a wide range of agenda items, I am confident you will find something that sparks your interest. In order to reach your full potential and enjoy HUTRAIN’25 entirely, I encourage you to explore our study guides meticulously prepared by our academic team.
I would like to show my utmost gratitude to my truly inspiring Deputy Secretary-General Arda Zorbozan for always aiming for nothing less than excellence. It is without doubt that HUTRAIN’25 would not be possible without the dedication of our exceptional Director-General Ela Su Erdoğdu and remarkable Deputy Director-General Şevval Özdemir, both of whom are also very dear to my heart. My heartfelt thanks go out to our Conference Advisor, Zeynep Çelik, for her invaluable support throughout the process.
I would like to end my remarks by saying, I sincerely hope HUTRAIN’25 is as special to each of you as it is to me.

Letter from the director general
Honourable participants,
It is my pleasure to welcome you all to Hacettepe University Model United Nations Training Conference 2025. Serving as the Director General of this event is an honor to introduce you to HUTRAIN’25: a conference that representsthe outcome of months of dedication and teamwork.
As we took our very first steps in creating this event, I took inspiration from Hacettepe University’s motto: “To the Leading Edge… Toward Being the Best.” This principle became my personal motivation; a reminder to lead with courage, to learn continuously, and to always strive for excellence in every step we take.
While bringing HUTRAIN’25 to life, our greatest goal was to create an environment where each participant could feel safe, confident, and inspired. I truly hope that this conference becomes a place where you can grow, connect, and gain experiences that you will carry with you long after it ends.
This journey would not have been possible without our incredible team, whose effort turned a dream into a reality. I would like to express my deepest gratitude to my hardworking organizational team, starting with our Deputy Director General, Şevval Özdemir, whose support and commitment have been essential in shaping this conference. I am also deeply thankful to our Secretary General, Damlanur Kılıç, and Deputy Secretary General, Arda Zorbozan, for making HUTRAIN’25 academically exceptional. And lastly our Conference Advisor, Zeynep Çelik, for her guidance and support throughout every step of this process. Working with such talented teammates and friends has been one of the most rewarding parts of this journey, and I am truly grateful for everything we’ve built together.
We cannot wait to welcome you to HUTRAIN 2025. I hope by the end of this conference you will feel like a part of HUMUN family.
