Committee Description:

The UNWOMEN committee is to focus on examining the transformation of gender roles in post-conflict zones, which will emphasize the protection and empowerment of women and other marginalized genders in terms of affecting the processes of recovery and peacebuilding after devastating conflicts. The Delegates of this committee are to explore the key terms of gender equality when it comes to applying these concepts to post conflict governance and peacebuilding and of course address challenges behind all these ideas. The committee will aim to promote equality, ensure protection from gender based violence, and strengthen women's participation in governance and reconstruction.
