Agenda Item:

The Lebanese Government After the 2022 General Elections

Following the 2022 Lebanese general elections, the Lebanese government faced a major political and economic crisis. Internal and external pressures, coupled with economic problems, plunged the government into a significant legitimacy crisis. The delegates who will serve in the Lebanese government, either civilian politicians or members of the military security forces, will aim to rescue the country from the power vacuum and chronic problems it has been struggling with for years. The committee will consist of two cabinets: the Lebanese Parliament and the Lebanese Security Council. The Lebanese Parliament will be responsible for resolving the country's civil issues and advancing the legislative process, while the Lebanese Security Council will be responsible for addressing the country's military and security-related problems.
